Prometheus (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Prometheus mobile application (the “App”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and how we protect it.
Information we collect
When you use the App, we may collect:
- Account information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- User-generated content: Vision statements, goals, habits, tasks, reflections, and other personal development data you enter.
- Fitness and wellbeing information: Optional fitness goals, workout habits, sleep or energy reflections, and related progress data you choose to enter.
- Financial and life-goal information: Optional financial goals, money-related reflections, and other life-area planning details you choose to enter.
- Photos or images: Optional images you choose to upload for your vision board.
- Voice recordings: Audio captured when you use speech-to-text features. Audio is processed for transcription and is not permanently stored on our servers.
- Usage data: App interaction patterns, feature usage, and session information to improve the service.
- Crash reports: Diagnostic data including device model, OS version, and stack traces through Sentry.
- Subscription data: Purchase history and subscription status managed by RevenueCat and the App Store.
How we use your information
- To provide and personalize AI coaching and self-improvement features.
- To process voice input and return transcriptions and AI-generated suggestions.
- To use optional fitness, wellbeing, image, and life-area data to personalize coaching and progress insights.
- To sync your data across devices.
- To manage your subscription and in-app purchases.
- To diagnose technical issues and improve the App.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase: Stores account information and user-generated content in PostgreSQL with row-level security.
- OpenAI: Processes text and voice input to provide coaching responses and transcriptions. Data sent to OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Sentry: Receives crash and performance diagnostics.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and purchase verification.
- Apple: Manages app distribution, in-app purchases, and push notification delivery.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases with row-level security policies designed so users can only access their own data. Network communication uses TLS encryption, and sensitive personal data is encrypted at rest.
Your rights
- Access your personal data through the App.
- Delete your account and associated data through Settings.
- Export your data by contacting us.
- Opt out of non-essential data collection.
Data retention
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Voice recordings used for transcription are processed in real time and are not stored after processing completes.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will promptly delete it.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may request disclosure or deletion of personal information we have collected and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.
European privacy rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, you may have rights to access, rectify, port, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data. Our legal bases include consent for account creation and legitimate interests in service improvement.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
