You decide whether this website runs optional analytics. The site and the waitlist work either way.
This page lists the browser storage and cookies the Prometheus website uses, and why.
Your choice comes first
Optional analytics on this website only run after you choose Accept analytics. Reject analytics is equally available, and rejecting does not affect the website or the waitlist. Until you accept, no PostHog or Google Analytics requests are sent and no analytics identifier is created.
Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep analytics off, even if you accepted earlier. Under PECR and the UK GDPR, optional analytics storage needs your consent; storage that is strictly necessary to run the site or remember your choice does not.
Browser storage and cookies this website uses
| Name and type | Set by and purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
marketing:prometheus:consentlocalStorage | Our first-party script. Remembers whether you allowed or rejected analytics. Strictly necessary to respect your choice. | Until you change your choice or clear site data. |
marketing:prometheus:visitsessionStorage | Our first-party script. A random identifier for anonymous PostHog analytics in this browser tab. Created only after you accept. | The tab session. Removed when you reject analytics. |
_ga, _ga_<ID>first-party cookies | Google Analytics 4, where configured. Counts pageviews after you accept. Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off. | Set by Google; up to 2 years by default. Never set unless you accept. |
PostHog analytics on this website are sent by our own script to PostHog’s EU endpoint. They do not use the PostHog SDK and do not set PostHog cookies.
Spam protection on the waitlist
The waitlist form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a signup comes from a person, not a bot. It loads from Cloudflare when the form is shown and is needed to protect the form, so it does not depend on your analytics choice. Cloudflare processes browser and connection information for this check under its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
What accepted analytics send
PostHog receives public page views, named button clicks and whether a waitlist signup started, succeeded or failed, with the random visit identifier and a timestamp. Google Analytics, where configured, receives public page views only.
We do not send email addresses, form contents, account identity, query strings or referrer URLs. Automatic interaction capture and session replay are not used. The receiving services still handle network requests, so this is not a promise that no personal information is ever processed.
Change your choice or clear storage
Use the Analytics control on any page to change your choice. Rejecting stops future analytics events and removes this tab’s visit identifier; it cannot recall events already sent. You can also remove all of the items above through your browser’s site-data settings, which resets your choice.
